Phoenix take 2-1 lead!!!! Suns vs Blazers Game 3.
by Bryan Inno WongDropping the first game at home, phoenix bounce back in game 2 and game 3 as the suns win 108-89!!!
Jason Richardson scored a playoff career-high 42 points and the Phoenix Suns dominated from the start in a 108-89 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night that gave them a 2-1 lead in their first-round series.
Jason Richardson continued his hot scoring streak hitting 8 three-pointers for the game. Steve Nash had a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists. And Amare Stoudemire added 20 points for phoenix.
For the blazers, there were some bright spots as they started several runs in the game that Phoenix led all the way. Rudy Fernandez came in ready to shoot 3-pointers with 4 threes in the game. Aldridge had 17 points and 7 rebounds.
I really think that the best move that coach Alvin Gentry did for the Suns is making Grant Hill and Jared Dudly guard Andre Miller as opposed to J-Rich guarding Miller in game 1. This obviously gave J-Rich more energy to spend in the offense rather than chasing after Miller in game 1. Also, Hill is stronger and a better defender and Miller cannot just simply overpower Hill in the post unlike any other guards.
Other results for today:
Game 3: Lakers VS Thunder : Oklahoma wins 96-101
Game 3: Celtics VS Bulls : Bulls win 106-108
