Last week, when Avacyn, Angel of Hope was spoiled, I was talking about how powerful would the Demon counterpart of Avacyn would be. And now, I wasn't disappointed!
The only thing that I see as a drawback in this card would definitely be the mana cost. 8 to cast for a 7/7 lifelink and flying creature is not a bad thing but the 4 Black mana in hte casting cost makes it difficult to play in standard. Unless you are going to put it in a mono black deck or put a lot of black mana sources in your land base.
What makes it so strong? This card can actually make you draw 7 cards at instant speed! and no tap requirement for the activation. You just pay 7 life to draw these cards and that is just like 1 life per card. But since this card has lifelink, it can definitely give the lost life to you when it deals damage. That is pretty insane! Of course, if you want to be more careful when using this card, you can just make it deal damage first before actually drawing the cards, but then again, it would depend on the state of the game when this hits the field.
Amazing card! I'm not yet sure if I can use this in standard but it would be a great EDH/Commander card or even a decent General by itself.
