U/R Control - A comeback

Share:

After about a month absence from MTG, I plan to go competitive again as part of my New Year's resolution. So, for this week's FNM I plan to bring the Red-Blue Control. After playtesting it many times, I think it is a viable deck for fnm but we'll see as I will post its FNM performance after the FNM.

The deck basically controls the board at the early game and tends to finish off with titans. The trinket mage also fetches up utility artifacts in cases you need an answer. Anyway, the decklist is as follows:

Lands:
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Terramorphic Expanse
3 Tectonic Edge
9 Island
6 Mountain

Creatures:
2 Frost Titan
1 Inferno Titan
2 Cunning Sparkmage
3 Trinket Mage

Sorceries:
4 Preordain
2 Pyroclasm

Instants:
4 Mana Leak
2 Stoic Rebuttal
1 Deprive
4 Lightning bolt
1 Into the Roil

Artifacts:
2 Everflowing Chalice
1 Chimeric mass
2 Basilisk Collar

Planeswalkers:
3 Jace Beleren
1 Koth of the Hammer

Sideboard:
4 Spreading Seas
2 Flash freeze
3 Spell Pierce
2 Wurmcoil Engine
2 Ratchet Bomb
1 Nihil Spellbomb
1 Pyroclasm
